Lore
Edit
When Kyrigar was formed, the Ancients used the element of Ice to bring extremity and solitude to the world. The Ice cooled the molten land and helped it to become livable. The cold of Ice contrasted heavily with the warmth that Kyrigar's creatures were so fond of, teaching them to accept and appreciate unfamiliar things. Solitude gave the creatures appreciation for being an individual and their homes alike when removed from isolation. Ice is one of the elements used to paint the land.
In addition to the formation of Kyrigar, Ice is the element of extremity and solitude because Ice-elemental skills may Freeze a Kymera as long as it is not of the Fire element.
Element matchups
Edit
The heat of Fire will thaw through an Ice-type defense and Metal is too thick to be denied. Ice-type Kymera are far too withdrawn to fall for any skills of their own element. Water skills can't find an opening into Ice-type Kymera and there is nothing for Nature to cultivate in the ice.
On offense, an Ice-type skill on a Fire-type Kymera will melt away most of its effectiveness. Wind-type Kymera are too fast for the ice and Metal-type Kymera are made of sturdier stuff. Ice-type skills will make a Water-type Kymera too complacent to effectively defend. Shadow-type Kymera can't escape when in an Ice-type Kymera's grasp and the rush of extreme climate is harsh on a Nature-type Kymera's overgrowth.
