Temporary Conditions are alterations to a in battle that can significantly impair a Kymera's ability to fight. Unlike Status Conditions, temporary conditions are not marked by a code in the Kymera Info. When a Temporary Condition is inflicted on a Kymera, it will be mentioned in the battle narration. Temporary conditions are often for a short duration and all can be removed by having the inflicted Kymera tag out.

These temporary conditions keep a Kymera from acting or a Keeper from properly issuing orders to the Kymera.

ConfusedEdit

  • The effects of some skills may overload an opponent Kymera's senses and Confuse it, causing it to act irrationally and even cause damage to itself.
  • For 2 - 5 turns, a Kymera inflicted with Confuse will have a 50% chance to not act in a turn and instead attack itself with a 4 BP non-elemental attack. This effect begins the first time a Kymera takes a turn under Confuse's influence.
  • This effect lasts until the duration runs out, the inflicted Kymera is Knocked Out, or the battle ends.

LazyEdit

  • The effects of some skills may make an opponent Kymera Lazy by mildly stimulating its sleep cycle or making it just care less about the fight
  • For 2 - 5 turns, a Kymera inflicted with Lazy will have a 50% chance to not act in a turn. This effect begins the first time a Kymera takes a turn under Lazy's influence.
  • This effect lasts until the duration runs out, or the inflicted Kymera is Knocked Out, or the battle ends.

FlinchEdit

  • The effects of some skills may hit an opponent Kymera far harder than expected or supply a distraction so abrasive that it causes the Kymera to Flinch and miss an opportunity to act.
  • A Kymera inflicted with Flinch will miss a single turn of action. Flinch has a single-turn duration and only affects the inflicted Kymera until the end of the turn that it was inflicted.
  • Flinch does not remain on a Kymera after the turn it is inflicted nor between battles. It can be inflicted several turns in a row if the user Kymera gets lucky.

AnnoyedEdit

  • The effects of some skills may make an opponent Kymera feel Annoyed, causing them to only want to lash out or up and leave a fight in progress.
  • For 2 - 5 turns, a Kymera inflicted with Annoyed can only use attacking moves or tags out. Secondary Effects of attacking moves still apply. This effect lasts until the duration runs out, the inflicted Kymera is Knocked Out, or the battle ends.
  • Annoyed does not disable Battle Options Item or Flee.

EnragedEdit

  • The effects of some skills may cause such a violent emotional reaction in a Kymera that it becomes Enraged, lashing out with random skills putting forth extra effort to unleash a burst of irate energy.
  • For 2 turns, a Kymera inflicted with Enraged cannot select its own attacks. If the Keeper wants the Kymera to use a Skill, the Kymera will pick one of its skills at random. The inflicted Kymera will also gain twice the amount of Ultimate Meter from used Skills.
  • Enraged last until the duration runs out, the inflicted Kymera is Knocked Out, or the battle ends.

DisablesEdit

These temporary conditions deny Kymera that use of certain skills or benefits for a short time.

Disable RandomEdit

  • The effects of some skills may cause a target Kymera to lose their connection to their element, lose feeling in their limbs, forget how a move goes, or some other effect that Disables a random skill.
  • A Kymera inflicted with Disable Rand will be unable to use a randomly selected skill for 5 turns. The disabled skill is chosen at the moment Disable Rand in inflicted and only that one skill remains Disables for the duration of the Condition. This effect lasts until the duration runs out, the inflicted Kymera is Knocked Out, or the battle ends.
  • Disable Rand can be applied multiple times. There is no limit to how many skills can be Disabled on an opponent Kymera. A Kymera with all usable moves disabled will be forced to use Struggle.
  • Attempting to use a Disabled skill will send you back to the skill selection screen.

Disable UltimateEdit

  • The effects of some skills may stifle an opponent Kymera's innate abilities and render them unable to use their Ultimate skill.
  • A Kymera inflicted with Disable Ultimate will not be able to use their Ultimate Attack for 2 - 5 turns. This effect lasts until the duration runs out, the inflicted Kymera is Knocked Out, or the battle ends.
  • Disable Ult can be used while other Disables are in play.
  • Attempting to use a Disabled Ultimate Attack will send you back to the skill selection screen. This temporary condition does not affect the rate at which the inflicted Kymera builds its Ultimate meter.

Disable PassiveEdit

  • The effects of some skills may cause an opponent Kymera to feel less special, disabling its passive ability.
  • A Kymera inflicted with Disable Passive will not have its Passive Abilities applied to the current battle for 2 - 5 turns. This effect lasts until the duration runs out, the inflicted Kymera is Knocked Out, or the battle ends.

Disable ItemEdit

  • The effects of some skills may strike directly at an opponent Kymera's Held Item, causing the item to be damage, dropped, or lose its properties.
  • A Kymera inflicted with Disable Item will receive no benefit from its Held Item for 2 - 5 turns. This effect lasts until the duration runs out, the inflicted Kymera is Knocked Out, or the battle ends.

Disable SpeciesEdit

  • The effects of some skills may introduce a foreign antibodies to an opponent Kymera, unbalancing its genetic makeup and disabling its Species Bonuses.
  • A Kymera inflicted with Disable Species will not have its Species Abilities applies to the current battle for 2 - 5 turns. This effect lasts until the duration runs out, the inflicted Kymera is Knocked Out, or the battle ends.

TrapsEdit

These temporary conditions keep inflicted Kymera from tagging out. These are used to ensure a target Kymera's defeat or wear down a heavy hitter through attrition.

TrappedEdit

  • The effects of some skills will ensure a target Kymera cannot leave the field of battle as long as the user stays there. The user will either use hostile environment or up-close-and-personal binding methods to Trap an opponent on the field.
  • A Kymera inflicted with Trap will be unable to tag out from the battle until the user is tagged out or Knocked Out.
  • If a Trapped Kymera is Knocked Out, the next Kymera to come into play will not start out Trapped as well unless that is a Passive Ability of the user.
  • In a wild Kymera fight, the Keeper can still choose to Flee a fight if the active Kymera has been Trapped.

Partial TrappedEdit

  • The effects of some skills will keep a fleeing Kymera on the field just a bit longer. Aggressive Kymera can raise hostile field conditions or latch onto an opponent to Partially Trap the opponent on the field.
  • A Kymera inflicted with Partial Trap will be unable to tag out from the battle for 2 - 5 turns. This effect lasts until the duration runs out, the user tags out, either Kymera is Knocked Out, or the battle ends.
  • If a Partially Trapped Kymera is Knocked Out, the next Kymera to come into play will not start out Partially Trapped.
  • In a wild Kymera fight, the Keepr can still choose to Flee a fight if the active Kymera has been Partially Trapped.

FatiguedEdit

  • The effects of some skils may tense the muscles or knock the wind out of a target Kymera, causing it to be Fatigued.
  • A Kymera inflicted with Fatigue cannot build its Ultimate Meter for 3 turns. This effect lasts until the duration runs out, the inflicted Kymera is Knocked Out, or the battle ends.
  • This Temporary Condition has no effect on Ultimate Attacks themselves.

DemoralizedEdit

  • The effects of some skills may intimidate or humiliate an opponent Kymera, making it unsure of the fight's outcome and Demoralizing it.
  • A Kymera inflicted with Demoralize will lose 3 points from its Ultimate meter per turn. This effects lasts until the Kymera tags out, the inflicted Kymera is Knocked Out, or the battle ends.
  • This temporary condition does not affect Ultimate skills themselves. The other Kymera in an inflicted Kymera's team will not be affected.

SicknessEdit

  • The effects of some skills may infect a Kymera with an aggressive Sickness, making sure it can't heal effectively.
  • A Kymera inflicted with Sickness only gains half the HP from a healing skill. This effect lasts until the Kymera is tags out, the inflicted Kymera is Knocked Out, or the battle ends.
  • Healing Items still have their regular effectiveness and other Kymera on the inflicted Kymera's team will not be affected.
